It's The Conjuring again, and a devil made a kid do it (murder), so Ed & Lorraine convince him to argue not guilty on grounds of demonic possession in a court of law. A demon-themed Law and Order episode would have been fun, but they hardly mention the court case again.

Instead of exciting law case study, they content themselves with chasing a mean old satanist witch around in the ludicrously massive underground… I don't know, is it a freaking dwarven temple?… the satanic mine shafts underneath a random old retired priest's wooden shack. Ed gets cursed and tries to kill Lorraine with a sledgehammer, but she defeats the curse with the power of love.

Ed has a heart attack in the opening scene, and his now-weakened heart is continuously used as a crutch to leave him behind or slow him down or force people to run to him. It's a utilitarian plot device that doesn't develop into something significant.

This one has three different satanically cursed victims and an Aramaic translator living atop a dwarven temple, so they aren't locked up in one dusty old haunted house for the whole film, but I'm not sure that it's an improvement.
