The Conjuring 2 (2016)

It's The Conjuring again, and… well, yeah, they basically just made The Conjuring again. Normal haunted house with a demon, you know the drill.

Old guy died in a chair, demon nun lurking in the shadows, visions of Ed being impaled through the chest by a tree. Rinse and repeat, toss in some children for effect.

The haunted family has basically an entire freaking river flowing through their basement, and nobody addresses how bad that is for the foundation. Insect-borne disease would also be a concern.

This demon is defeated by saying it's name, a dumb TV trope. Lorraine happens to have its name written down from a previous scene that didn't particularly make much sense, but was very important to make the conclusion not look like a totally arbitrary deus ex machina. Alas.
