It's The Conjuring again, except this time the writing committee couldn't decide on which plot they wanted, so they took a little bit from each of their ideas and mashed 'em together into a convoluted mess. There are ghosts and demons all over the place, bound to whatever, attacking everyone, everywhere. "Everyone" is dozens of people, dozens.

And a mirror.

It tries to focus on Ed & Lorraine's daughter, Judy, played by newcomer Mia Tomlinson doing her best Zooey Deschanel impersonation, but kind of forgets to focus on anything. Judy follows the Nightmare on Elm Street tradition and repeatedly chants the nursery rhyme Lucy Locket lost her pocket to us all throughout the film.

She's getting married.

There's a ping pong competition in the midst of all of this. They're still using Ed's weak heart as a lackluster threat, and forgetting all about it when it's inconvenient.

A bad heart can't stop good ping pong.

By the climax, they've forgotten all about the whole "God" thing and just defeat the demon with the power of familial love or whatever. All of those previous religious exorcisms were a waste of time, it turns out.

Also yelling helps.
