A Mad Detective reboot with the same Mad Detective doing the same Mad Detective schtick, except this time he sees almost-dead people's ghosts instead of fully alive people's alter egos.

From the co-director/writer of Mad Detective, with Johnnie To dropped. Much less crime drama and more action thriller than the original. Much more colorful, many more rain jackets.

Mostly I just remember the mad detective rolling around on a ridiculous fake police bicycle in a yellow rubber rain jacket, and having an outdoor office under an highway overpass.

The daughter of somebody is involved in some terrorist group, and one of the cops is corrupt and framing the mad detective, and they blow up an oil rig.

Just to clarify that he is still mad, he sees a dragon after they defeat the big baddie.

They give him an office job anyway.
